Rain Flooding Downtown Toms River Roads: Sheriff
The Ocean County Sheriff's Office is warning drivers to avoid flooded roads from the heavy rain.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Drivers are being urged to avoid downtown Toms River on Tuesday as flooding from the late afternoon storm has made some areas impassable.
The Ocean County Sheriff's Office said flooding is happening throughout Ocean County but singled out downtown Toms River, which floods frequently in heavy storms.
The sheriff's office did not specify which roads were flooded, however Irons Street from West Water Street to Herflicker Boulevard is commonly under water after heavy storms, and Herflicker is usually affected between Irons and South Main Street.
