Ring In The Season At Toms River's Christmas Tree Lighting Friday

The Thanksgiving turkey may not be in the oven just yet, and you haven’t run out to join in the madness that is Black Friday. But the holiday season is just around the corner, and Toms River has announced its annual Christmas Tree Lighting event.

The tree lighting celebration, sponsored by the Toms River Business Improvement District, is set for 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, with music from the Donovan Catholic High School chorus, the Riddlesbrood Touring Theater Company carolers, and the Oceanaires.

The Amazing V will entertain the youngsters and the young at heart with his magic show, and then Mrs. Claus will pay a visit to read “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

Then, of course, the Big Guy himself will arrive to delight the little ones before posing for photos.

The event will be held in the courtyard between the Ocean County Library and Town Hall.

Toms River Fire Company 1 will be selling hot chocolate and goodies to keep you warm, so join in.
