Rocking The Holidays With The Radio City Rockettes

WATCH as the Rockettes put a twinkle in the eyes of their fans that almost outshines their festive costumes.

Christmas has arrived early at Radio City Music Hall in New York, where the annual Christmas Spectacular opened last weekend.

As a preview to the show that draws thousands of fans of the famed Rockettes, members of the dance troupe took a tour of Patch towns in New Jersey on Sept. 30 to visit with fans young and old at Holmdel Park, with patrons at the Middletown Township Public Library and at with the members of Girl Scout Troop 83545 in Woodbridge.

Dreamers like 10-year-old dancers Elle Zitzner and Katie Farrell from Middletown watched and listened wide-eyed as the dancers described their work with the show, and even the adults were captivated by Rockettes Katie Hamrah and Maranda LeBar, who hopped into kick lines with park staff at Holmdel Park and dazzled the adult troop leaders and chaperones of the Woodbridge Girl Scouts.

Their visits were videotaped and just in time for the start of the holiday season, we’re sharing a video of the dancers meeting their admiring fans. As you’ll see in the video, they had a blast.

Performances of the 2015 Radio City Christmas Spectacular continue through Jan. 3, at Radio City Music Hall. Purchase your tickets by clicking here.
