Rue21 Closing Ocean County Mall Store

Teen clothing retailer Rue21 announced it would be closing 400 stores, including its Ocean County Mall location. It was a "difficult but necessary decision," the Pennsylvania-based retailer said in a Facebook post.

In addition to the Ocean County Mall store, the Jersey Shore Premium Outlets location in Tinton Falls and the Hamilton Mall location in Mays Landing are closing as well, according to the Rue21 website.

According to The Associated Press, Rue21 is closing approximately one-third of its locations nationwide to focus on online sales.
