Indians now 2-0 on strong effort on both offense and defense

Francis Hearne picked up the ball after a blocked field goal and ran 67 yards for a touchdown, giving Toms River South scoring from offense, defense and special teams in the Indians’ 42-6 Shore Conference Class A South victory over Toms River East on Friday night.
The Indians, who defeated Donovan Catholic last week in South’s season opener, will be looking to complete the Toms River trifecta next Friday night when they host Toms River North at 7 p.m.
Toms River South was in control from the start, taking a 21-0 lead in the first quarter on two touchdowns -- one passing, one running -- by Tymere Berry, and an 82-yard interception return by Khaleel Greene.
