Senior Softball Players Wanted

Berkeley men, age 55 and up -- Get into the game: Try-outs April 11, slow-pitch season opens April 28

Ocean County’s largest senior softball league is looking for more players. It already has nearly 150 men from age 55 into their 80s who are participating in a healthy activity, having fun and being competitive on the diamond.

Additional players are being sought for the upcoming season. The township-sponsored Berkeley Senior Softball League will play Tuesday and Thursday mornings. A separate division for men born in 1950 or earlier will play Friday mornings.

Games are played at Whispering Pines Park in Holiday City South and at Veterans Park, near Central Regional High School in Bayville. Spectators are welcome.
