Eight Toms River Cheerleading Teams Headed To Nationals

Six teams of youth cheerleaders from Toms River are headed to the American Youth Football Cheerleading Championships in Florida beginning Dec. 5.

The Toms River Indians 12U and 8U squads captured first place in their divisions at the Big East regional championships at Sun National Bank in Trenton last weekend.

The Toms River Angels also are sending two teams to Florida, their 12U and 10U squads.

The Toms River Raiders are sending four teams to the national championships, which all placed at the Big East competition.
