Snow Day Makeups Set For Toms River Schools

See when the Toms River Regional Schools will make up the days lost to snow in January and February.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Students in the Toms River Regional School District will be in school a bit later into June, thanks to four snow days in January and February.

The changes to the district's 2026-27 school calendar were approved by the Board of Education Wednesday night.

The district added June 16, 17, 18 and 19 as school days, all of them half-days, with June 19 the last day of school.

The Toms River Regional Schools did not have snow days built into the calendar. The district — and many districts in Ocean County — stopped including snow days several years ago because of mild winters with little to no snow.
