Toms River Schools Closed Jan. 19 Due To Snow Forecast
District officials have updated their decision on holding classes Friday.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Regional School District will be closed on Friday, Jan. 19, because of the forecast for significant snow.
District officials announced the move to close schools early Friday, after initially calling for a delayed opening.
The National Weather Service's Mount Holly office has issued a winter storm warning for Ocean County through Friday evening, with up to 6 inches of snow projected for Ocean County, according to the 4:30 a.m. update on Friday.

The Toms River Regionals Schools calendar for the 2023-24 school year does not include any emergency closure days, so the district will have to make up the day later during the year.
