Need Food? Toms River Food Distribution Happens Friday

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The weekly food distribution event at the Presbyterian Church of Toms River to assist families in need is on schedule for Friday, organizers say.

The distribution at the church on on Hooper Avenue will distribute food as usual. That distribution is set to start at 11 a.m. but volunteers are at the site starting about 7 a.m., organizers have said.

The distributions are marking their 36th week of assisting families in need as a result of the coronavirus. Fulfill, the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, supplies the crisis food kits, supplemented by donations from various organizations.

In South Toms River, the distribution was held Wednesday. It will return to Friday next week.
