Spot Drug Dangers In Your Home At Drugs 101 Program At Toms River Library

The two-hour program looks at the latest trends in Ocean County and what to look for if you believe your child is using drugs.

TOMS RIVER, NJ— Parents can learn about the latest drug use trends and what to look for to keep their kids safe in a program at the Ocean County Library in Toms River.

The program, "Drugs 101: Drug Trends for Ocean County Parents," is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 2 at the main branch at 101 Washington St.

The two-hour program presented by the Ocean County Health Department will examine a variety of drugs, substances specifically found in Ocean County, and their impacts. Attendees will learn slang, understand how substances are used, and recognize how people under the influence react.

The program is led by Amanda Gan from the health department.

Attendees will gain awareness of illicit substances and paraphernalia by walking through an interactive teenage bedroom display that contains signs of drug use and abuse.
