State Department Of Environmental Protection Issues 'Code Orange' Air Alert

Air pollution levels will be unhealthy for some groups.

Orange is not good, at least when it comes to air quality.

The state Department of Environmental Protection and the National Weather Service have issued a ”code orange” air quality alert for Ocean County today. That means air pollution concentrations will be unhealthy for sensitive groups or people with health issues.

The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercising outdoors.
