NJ Weather: Strong Storms, Heavy Rain To End Week

A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for New Jersey as bad weather is expected to hit the region over the next few days.

Strong storms are expected to hit New Jersey over the next few days as the region should expect some rough weather to end the week and start the weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the entire state, saying showers and thunderstorms Thursday and Friday will be capable of producing heavy rain, leading to poor drainage flooding.

From Thursday to Friday morning, heavy rain and the risk of severe weather will be at their peak, according to AccuWeather. The rain can come down fast enough to slow travel on the highways and create a low cloud ceiling and low visibility at airports.

It is possible some storms will survive well into Friday night, and spotty showers and thunderstorms may still affect the region on Saturday, according to AccuWeather.
