Suicidal Man Talked Down From Toms River Parking Garage: Police
The man was taken for a mental health evaluation after about three hours of speaking with officers, Toms River police said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — First responders were able to talk down a suicidal man who was threatening to jump off the ledge on the top floor of the parking garage at Community Medical Center Monday morning, Toms River police said.
A missing suicidal man was first reported shortly before 9 a.m. on March 4, police said. He was found at Community Medical Center threatening to jump at about 9:40 a.m., according to police.
The Toms River Police Department Detective Bureau spent about three hours speaking with the man before they were able to convince him to come down, police said.

He was then taken for a mental health evaluation, police said.
Also assisting police were the Toms River Fire Department, Neptune Township Emergency Management (provided jump air bag), Ocean County Sheriff's Department and Community Medical Center Security.
