Summer In The Street In Toms River: Monday Manual

TOMS RIVER, NJ— Welcome to the July 11 edition of Monday Manual, where we highlight events coming up during the week in the Toms River area.

The Downtown Toms River Business Improvement District is holding the Summer in the Street Festival on Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. Washington Street is set to be lined with food trucks, vendors, and local businesses. There will be a beer and wine garden hosted by Toms River Volunteer Fire Company 1 and live bands throughout the day. Downtown businesses are open on the street so head on down for a bite to eat, enjoy a cocktail, or do a little shopping.

The Toms River Township Council is scheduled to meet Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Town Hall. The agenda had not been posted as of Friday.

The township's Zoning Board of Adjustment is set to meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Town Hall. The agenda had not been posted as of Friday.

The Toms River Regional Board of Education is set to hold its committee meetings on Wednesday evening. Those meetings are preceded by a special meeting set for 5:30 p.m. that includes an executive session followed by the special meeting at 6 p.m. That meeting and the committees are set to meet at the district's offices at 1144 Hooper Ave.

The Ocean County Fair returns beginning Wednesday at Robert J. Miller Airpark, Route 530 in Berkeley Township. There are 4-H animals and displays, rides, vendors, food and entertainment.
