Suspect Threatened Home Depot Employee In Toms River Robbery: PD
Police are looking for the suspect and an accomplice, who reportedly drove away from the store with almost $3,000 worth of rolled wire.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A man threatened a Home Depot employee with a knife on Wednesday after he cut through a lock and removed almost $3,000 worth of wire, said Toms River Police.
The suspect then left the store with 27 rolls of 12-2 wire, and was spotted loading it into a white Chevy Impala with an accomplice before both drove off, said officials. Township police are looking for both men (pictured above) in connection with the robbery.
Police said that shortly before 3 p.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the Home Depot on Route 9 for a shoplifting report. One suspect, who was pictured wearing a gray hoodie and a black beanie, "utilized bolt cutters to cut the lock securing the wire behind cages," police said.

When an employee approached him, the man "removed a utility knife from his pocket and threatened" the worker, said officials. He then exited the store and left the store with the other man in the Impala, police said.
The vehicle's registered owner said he had sold the vehicle at a gas station in Delaware before the robbery, police said, adding that he does not match the description of the suspects.
