Synagogue Invites Toms River Community To Menorah Lighting
Congregation B'nai Israel is hosting the event Wednesday in the hope of promoting unity in the Toms River community.

Congregation B’nai Israel is inviting the Toms River community to join its members for a Community Chanukah Candle Lighting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9.
“We believe there is a need for unity in the community,” said officials for the synagogue, which has been part of the community for 65 years.
The event includes a Menorah lighting outside on the front lawn, as well as the lighting of a Menorah indoors. There will be refreshments, including latkes, jelly donuts and beverages, a dreidel-spinning contest, and Chanukah songs will be sung, according to a news release from the congregation.
