Thanksgiving Garbage, Recycling Schedules In Toms River
The holiday disrupts normal garbage and recycling collections. Here are the changes.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River Township offices and the public works department will be closed on Thanksgiving in observance of the holiday.
As a result there will be no garbage or recycling collections and the Recycling Convenience Center will be closed.
All regular garbage and recycling collections after Wednesday are postponed one day, with Friday’s garbage collections being picked up on Saturday.

Bulk pickups for Wednesday and Thursday garbage collection areas will all be picked up on Wednesday, Nov. 23.
Extra recycling collection will take place on Wednesday.

The Public Works office will also be closed on Friday, however the Recycling Convenience Center will be open on Friday and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
