Toms River 2018 Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration Friday
The annual event in Downtown Toms River will include food and dessert trucks as well as photos with Santa Claus.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The annual Christmas tree lighting and holiday kickoff celebration in Toms River is set for Friday, Dec. 7, according to the Downtown Toms River.
The event runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Town Hall Courtyard.
The annual event will include performances by the Donovan Catholic chorus and the Toms River South choir, the magician The Amazing v, and more.

Mrs. Claus will read "Twas The Night Before Christmas," and Santa will help light the tree and then pose for photos with children. (The photos with Santa are a fundraiser for Toms River Fire Company 1.)
Toms River Fire Company 1 will be selling hot chocolate and cookies, and there also will be food and dessert trucks on Washington Street.

- 5 p.m. Donovan Catholic Chorus
- 5:30 p.m. Amazing V Magician
- 6 p.m. Zzak G. Applaud Our Kids Foundation, Inc.
- 6:30 p.m. Toms River High School South Choir
- 6:50 p.m. "Twas The Night Before Christmas," read by Mrs. Claus
- 7 p.m. SANTA ARRIVES by firetruck to light the tree
- 7:15 p.m. PHOTOS WITH SANTA by Toms River Fire Company 1
