Toms River Accepting Christmas Trees For Its Recycling Program

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River residents who have natural Christmas trees to discard following the holidays can take them to several township-owned parks to be recycled.

Residents can recycle Christmas trees by taking them to any one of the following locations through January. The trees will be made into wood chips that will be available to Toms River residents.

  • Skyview Park (Vaughn Avenue)
  • Riverwood Park (Riverwood Avenue)
  • Silverton Park (Maine Street)
  • Bayside Park (Bay Boulevard, Ortley Beach)
  • Bey Lea Park (Tennis Court and Parking Lot)
  • Chadwick Beach Park (Strickland Boulevard)
  • Money Island Park (Longfellow Avenue)
  • Winding River Park South (Off Route 37 West)
  • Toms River Township Recycling Center (Church Road)

The Public Works Department will collect Christmas trees after the Parks & Recreation recycling program is completed. Curbside tree collection will take place from Jan. 16- 27. After Jan. 27, all trees must be dropped off at the township's Recycling Convenience Center at 1672 Church Road.
