Toms River Bank Robbery Suspect Still Sought

Police released more details on the suspect's description, including that he used white face makeup to try to hide his identity.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River police circulated surveillance photos of a man they say robbed the First Financial Federal Credit Union on Thursday afternoon.

Photos show the man wearing white face makeup and what appears to be a dark wig with curly blonde extensions. He was carrying a backpack and was wearing a dark-colored knit cap, a dark shirt, gray sweatpants and dark colored footwear.

The man walked into the bank at the corner of Route 9 and Route 571 just before 1 p.m. and handed a note to a teller demanding money. He walked out of the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
