Breaking: "You are lower than low," police said in a Facebook post directed at the suspect.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River police had harsh words Wednesday for a man whose identity is sought in connection with a burglary at a local church.

"Steal other people’s stuff; you are a low life. Steal from a donation box at church? You are lower than low, and our Facebook followers will help identify you," Toms River police said in a Facebook post Wednesday afternoon.

Toms River Police Department spokesman Ralph Stocco said police are trying to identify the man who broke into the donation box at Christ Episcopal Church on Washington Street on Sunday.
