Toms River Emergency Shelter Open As Code Blue Alert Issued
With temperatures expected to dip into the 20s, the Riverwood Park shelter will be open Tuesday and Wednesday nights for the homeless.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The forecast for temperatures in the 20s the next two nights has put Code Blue in effect in Ocean County.
The Code Blue alert means the emergency shelter for the homeless is open at Riverwood Park, and will offer shelter from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. both nights.
The emergency shelter, operated by Just Believe Inc. in cooperation with local government officials, provides a connection to services to help those who are homeless find a path out of that situation.

The shelter is abiding by social distancing measures and CDC recommendations in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Those who need transportation to the shelter can call 732-300-7126.
