Toms River Field Of Dreams Getting Assist At Lacrosse Game

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The teams may be battling for the title of best lacrosse team in Toms River, but the players will be united in purpose: raising funds for the Toms River Field of Dreams.

The Toms River North boys lacrosse team is turning its Senior Night game against crosstown rival Toms River South into a benefit for the Toms River Field of Dreams, the recreation complex that will serve children with special needs and their families.

The Mariners' game, set for 7 p.m. at Toms River North, includes a suggested donation of $2 at the door, along with a 50/50 raffle. All proceeds from the night will be donated to the Field of Dreams project under construction at Bey Lea Park. Read more: Work Begins At Toms River Field Of Dreams Site

The Toms River Field of Dreams complex is designed to welcome children with special needs and their families, and will include a baseball field, a snack stand, miniature golf and much more.
