TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River has designated more than $386,000 in funds from the American Rescue Plan for the Toms River East Little League for improvements to its facilities.

The league is using the funds to install artificial turf on the infield and new sod on the outfield of their field at Windsor Avenue, along with new lights for night games, officials said.

The improvements also will help the league compete to be a regional tournament location, officials said.
