Toms River Homicide Victim ID'd
The woman who died after being assaulted has been identified as being a Manchester resident.

TOMS RIVER, NJ -- A Manchester Township woman has been identified as the victim who died after being assaulted last week.
Margarita Diaz, 44, of Manchester Township, died after the assault on Aug. 7, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Toms River Police Chief Mitch Little said in a joint news release Sunday.
Diaz's death was ruled a homicide, Billhimer said.

Police were called to Deer Chase Professional Park, Route 37 West, about 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Diaz was found unconscious and died despite life-saving efforts, authorities have said.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, the Toms River Township Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Investigation Unit are investigating, Billhimer said, and additional information is anticipated to be released this week, he said.
