Toms River Man Charged In $38K Theft Of Building Materials
He was arrested as he tried to drive off after surveillance cameras caught him in the supply yard at Universal Supply, police said.

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — A Toms River man has been charged in connection with the theft of more than $38,000 worth of building materials from a Manahawkin business, Stafford Township police said.
Jesse Vonder Linden, 39, is accused of entering Universal Supply Company on multiple occasions between Jan. 13 and Feb. 11 and taking the materials, police said. He is charged with multiple counts of burglary, criminal attempt of theft and criminal mischief.
The theft was reported on Feb. 11 and a warrant was issued for Vonder Linden's arrest, police said.

He was arrested Feb. 15 when police saw him leaving the area near Universal Supply as they were responding to a report that its surveillance cameras caught someone in the supply yard.
He is being held at the Ocean County Jail in Toms River pending a detention hearing.
