Toms River Man Critically Hurt As Truck Rolls On Him In Driveway
Juan Granados-Chavez, 40, was pulled from under the truck by his son, who used a floor jack to lift it off him, police said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Toms River man was hospitalized after his pickup truck rolled off its ramps and landed on him while he was working on it in his driveway Thursday night, Toms River police said.
Juan Granados-Chavez, 40, was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, for treatment after the accident that happened about 6 p.m. Thursday, said Jillian Messina, media specialist for the Toms River Police Department. He was listed in critical condition as of 11 p.m. Thursday, she said.
Messina said Granados-Chavez was working on his Chevy Silverado when it rolled off the ramps and landed on him. His wife found him pinned.

While family members called 911, Granados-Chavez's son, Pablo, grabbed a floor jack and used it to lift the passenger side of the truck up and pulled his father out from under the truck just before police arrived, Messina said.
Toms River Police EMS units and MONOC paramedics responded.
