Toms River Man Sexually Assaulted Two Infants, Other Girls: Authorities

A Toms River man has been indicted for sexually assaulting five girls, including two infants, according to authorities.
Daniel Roy Plummer, 35, of Norma Place, was charged with three counts of sexual assault and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child as the result of a two-month investigation, authorities said.
The girls, all minors, are known to Plummer, authorities said. Child pornography was found at Plummer’s home before he was arrested in June, and he allegedly engaged in sexual activity with the minors for months - and one incident occurred on a girl’s 14th birthday, authorities said.

Plummer assaulted infants as young as 1 month old, authorities said.
As the investigation unfolded, the office determined that Plummer had been, over a multitude of years, having inappropriate sexual encounters with the girls, according to Ralph Stocco, spokesman for the Toms River Police Department.

Search warrants were executed at Plummer’s home and a storage unit in Toms River, where several computers and a cellular phone were seized.
Plummer was being held in the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail, no 10 percent option, as set by Judge Wendel E. Daniels, and a Nicole’s Law restraining order and no contact order were implemented as well.
Assisting in the investigation were the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, Detective Matthew Scutti from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department’s Crime Scene Unit, Detective Jason Steele from the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, and Detective David Brubaker and Detective Daniel Roske from the High Tech Crime Unit of the prosecutor’s office.
