Toms River Police Accepting 2022 Junior Police Camp Applications

The Junior Police Camp camp gives sixth, seventh and eighth graders an inside look at law enforcement careers.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Police Department is accepting applications for its 2022 Junior Police Camp.

The camp is set for July 11-15 and runs from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. and is for students who are in sixth, seventh and eighth grades.

The camp is an opportunity for children to get an inside look at the police department and law enforcement, the police department said. Campers get to ride in police cars, use specialized police equipment and take part in physical agility exercises and learn self-defense. They get to see fire and EMS operations and take a trip to the Ortley Beach Lifeguard Station.
