Toms River Police Department Promises Fun In The Sun With Their First Youth Camp

Kids will learn about their public services, different police divisions and much, much, more!

Summer is coming, and what better way to get the kids out of the house than by learning about their local law enforcement! The Toms River Police Department announced their first annual Toms River Police Youth Camp, promising to be an informative and entertaining experience.

Open to residents’ children who are enrolled in grades 6, 7, 8 or 9 as of September 2015, camp goers will get to ride in police cars, utilize specialized police equipment, learn self defense tactics, and physical agility.

Participants will also have exposure to the motorcycle unit, EMS Ambulance, SWAT team, fire suppression vehicles and obstacle course. They’ll even go on a field trip to the Ortley Beach Lifeguard station and spend a day with the waves.
