Toms River Police Issue A Reminder To Lock Up Cars

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Lock 'em up, Toms River residents.

Toms River police issued a reminder to residents to lock vehicles any time you leave them, as car burglaries have been reported in a number of areas once again.

"Criminals look for opportunities," police said in a Facebook post. "Leaving your vehicles unlocked creates an easy target for them."

"Please lock your car doors and do not leave valuables inside, especially in plain view," the reminder said.

Police did not specific areas of town where there have been issues. Nearby towns have issued similar reminders.
