Toms River Road Paving: See Where Traffic Will Be Disrupted

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Toms River residents should be prepared for some lane and road closures during the evening this week as the Ocean County Roads Department does milling and paving on some of the county-owned roads.

The Ocean County Commuter Forecast for the week beginning April 24 says that in addition to the ongoing work at the Route 37/Route 166 intersection and at the Mathis Bridge, the following roads will be milled and repaved this week:

Fischer Boulevard, from Bay Avenue to Shore Boulevard: There will be milling and paving that is scheduled to begin about 8 p.m. Monday and be completed by 6 a.m. Tuesday, with lane and shoulder closings while the work is completed.

Ridgeway Road from Whitesville Road to Commonwealth Boulevard: Lane and shoulder closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. beginning April 26 through April 28 for milling and paving.

Caldwell Lane from East Water Street to Washington Street: Lane and shoulder closures with alternating traffic for milling and paving. The notice does not say what date it will be done or how long the project is expected to take.
