TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you're looking to watch the Toms River Regional Board of Education meeting Wednesday night and comment on it, the district has posted information on its website.

The meeting is being streamed live on YouTube (click here). The main agenda is online, as are the supporting documents: the business attachments, the business addendum, and the personnel agenda. The public portion begins at 7:30 p.m.

The meeting is being streamed online due to the restrictions on public gatherings put in place by Gov. Phil Murphy to promote social distancing and slow the spread of the new coronavirus.

The Toms River school board meeting includes an initial budget introduction for the 2020-2021 school year, with what is anticipated to be a preliminary discussion of pending budget cuts.

As of Wednesday afternoon, there were 427 positive tests for COVID-19 in New Jersey, and five people have died from it, according to the state health department.
