Toms River Schools Honor Teachers, Support Professionals Of Year

The school board took time to honor the teachers and support professionals for their dedication to Toms River Regional students.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Regional Board of Education honored the district's teachers and educational support professionals of the year for the 2022-23 school year, thanking them for the work they do for students in the district.

The district honors are part of the Governor's Educator of the Year program that strives to recognize teachers and educational services professionals for their dedication to students and their profession.

"This program promotes a culture that recognizes excellence, creates a sense of pride, and brings public attention to the work of outstanding educators," the state's description says.

Early Learning Center: Joanne Tokarski, Teacher of the Year; Ellen Simon, Educational Services Professional of the Year
