Toms River Schools Set Kindergarten Registration Dates

For children who will be old enough to start school in September, the time to register is now.

TOMS RIVER, NJ -- Kindergarten registration dates have been set for children who will be old enough to attend school in September 2016, the Toms River Regional School District has announced.

Children who turn 5 years old on or before Sept. 30, 2016 and who live in Toms River, South Toms River, Pine Beach or Beachwood are eligible to register for the full-day kindergarten program provided throughout the Toms River Regional School district.

“Beginning in September 2015, The Toms River Regional School District was able to provide all of our youngest learners with a comprehensive full day kindergarten experience,” Superintendent David M. Healy said. “Through a model instructional program that is uniformly implemented in all schools, our Kindergarten children are actively engaged in the learning process, demonstrating significantly greater progress in literacy, math, general learning skills, and social skills that will surely benefit them for years to come.”
