My training exercises have some basic elements; I customize this framework to your dog's way of learning desired behaviors. I avoid aversive training techniques like choke or shock collars. May is the month for "Mom's" at the Mathis House Tearoom. The Mother's Day Victorian Afternoon Tea is available daily from Tuesday to Sunday. Mid-week seating starts at 11 AM, and teatimes are held by reservation every hour on the hour, with the last seating at 3 PM. Weekend seating times are 11 AM and 3 PM. The Victorian Afternoon Tea includes a choice of soup, a seasonal salad, a warm scone with clotted cream, lemon curd, and preserves, a variety of five tea sandwiches, and a plate of petite desserts with a pot of gourmet tea per person. The cost is $50 (plus tax and gratuity) for adults, $20 for children 12 years old and under, and free for children 5 and under with an adult. Roasted rosemary bone in chicken with a light brown gravy. Brown rice pilaf. Brussels Sprouts with craisins, honey, and walnuts. Mixed green salad with strawberries, blueberries, feta cheese, and a raspberry vinaigrette. A beautiful charcuterie board with meats, cheeses, nuts, crackers, and more.
