Toms River Senior Center Hosts Fall Dance, Halloween Event

Mark your calendar and buy your tickets for the country hoedown and the Halloween brunch.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Senior Center will be holding two fall events for the township's senior citizens in the coming weeks at the senior center

The first is a country hoedown on Wednesday, Oct. 11.

Toms River residents are invited to break out their cowboy boots and hats and listen to the live entertainment from by country singer Tony Pileggi of Basement Musicians, a favorite regular performer at Albert Music Hall.

The refreshments include boneless barbecue chicken, pulled pork, cornbread, salad and dessert. The hoedown begins at noon.

Tickets are $10 in advance cash only at the senior center.

The second is a Halloween brunch on Tuesday, Oct. 31.

Come in costume if you like and enjoy a mix of a continental breakfast and lunch, with breakfast items, assorted mini sandwiches and salads. The brunch is catered by Café @1144.

The Halloween brunch starts at 10:30 a.m. and tickets are $6 cash only in advance. Purchase them at the senior center.

All events take place at the Senior Center, 652 Garfield Ave.
