Toms River Senior Wins Competition For 'Nude In Mist' Painting

Eight Ocean County residents were honored.

The award reception for the annual New Jersey State Senior Citizens Art Exhibit was held on Thursday, October 30, at 10:30 a.m. at Meadow Lakes in East Windsor.

Harriet Wolf (Manchester), Second Place, Drawing, The Fire Tender;

Lois Linde (Lakewood), Second Place, Pastel, After the Rain;

Walt Zimmerman (Ocean Gate), Second Place, Sculpture, I Ain’t Got No Body;

Bill Chester (Lakewood), Honorable Mention, Photography, My Wheel Barrow.

Professional Division:

Leslie Ovechka (Toms River), First Place, Print, Dinner at the Ritz;

Beverly Golembeski (Seaside Park), First Place, Watercolor, Cocky;

Howard Koslow (Toms River), Third Place, Acrylic, Moraine Lake, Canada.

These eight local artists previously participated at the 38th Annual Ocean County Senior Citizens Art Exhibit sponsored by Ocean County College, the Senior Art Advisory Committee, Ocean County Office of Senior Services, Ocean County Board of Chosen Freeholders, and the Ocean County Cultural & Heritage Commission.
