Toms River Seniors Invited To Revisit Radio Show Days

The performance of "All About Eve" will be done in the style of 1950s radio shows, organizers said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Toms River Senior Center is inviting residents to take a step into the past, back to the days when entertainment came into homes over the airwaves and the only screens were the silver screens of the movie theaters.

The Toms River Senior Center will present "All About Eve," an old-fashioned radio show performed live at the Senior Center.

"All About Eve" is a 1950s radio show based on the 1950 movie that starred Bette Davis as an "aging" Broadway star who befriends Eve, played in the movie by Anne Baxter, who then turns on her benefactor, scheming and bidding to supplant Davis as the queen of the stage.
