Toms River Shakespeare Festival On Tap Sunday

Sunday's performance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is the finale for 2018.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — The Saturday peformance of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" at Huddy Park in downtown Toms River has been canceled due to the rain, organizers announced Saturday afternoon.

The performance, part of the Toms River Shakespeare Festival, was scheduled for a 7 p.m. start but heavy rain and the potential for flash flooding resulted in the cancellation, the announcement said.

The Sunday afternoon performance remains scheduled. It will begin at 3 p.m. Bring blankets or lawn chairs for seating.
