Toms River Woman Had 446 Heroin Doses, Police Say
Diana Mendez was charged in connection with a heroin distribution investigation in the area, police said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ -- A Toms River woman is facing drug charges after 446 wax folds of heroin were seized during a raid of her apartment, police said.
Diana Mendez, 27, of Winteringham Village, has been charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia, said Ralph Stocco, Toms River Police Department spokesman.
The arrest on Tuesday was the result of an investigation by the Toms River Police Department Special Enforcement Team into heroin distribution in connection with a specific residence at the apartment complex, Stocco said.

A search warrant executed on Mendez’s residence turned up 446 wax folds of heroin, more than $1,000 in U.S. currency, and drug paraphernalia, he said.
Mendez’s bail was set at $20,000, no 10 percent, which she has since posted according to Ocean County Jail records.
