Toms River Woman Indicted On Charges She Stole From Boy Scouts
She was the troop's treasurer and is accused of stealing more than $13,000, authorities say.

A Toms River woman has been indicted on charges she stole more than $13,000 from a Boy Scout troop where she served as treasurer, according to a report.
The Asbury Park Press report said Suzanne Rondinone-Toscan, 47, of Roanoke Drive, is accused of stealing the money by writing unauthorized checks to herself, making unauthorized withdrawals and keeping the proceeds from four fundraisers, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph D. Coronato.
Rondinone-Toscan, who served as treasurer of Boy Scout Troop 1 in Toms River, is accused of stealing the funds between April 1, 2013 and March 24, 2014, according to the report. It also alleges that she issued a bad check drawn on her bank account in the amount of $5,000 on April 7, 2014.

“The total amount (of the theft) is around $13,500,’’ Senior Assistant Prosecutor Martin Anton said.
