Traffic Disrupted On Hooper Avenue In Toms River
Power lines are down near the intersection with Oak Avenue, authorities said.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — Motorists are urged to avoid the area of Hooper Avenue at Oak Avenue on Monday due to downed power lines.
The Ocean County Sheriff's Office urged drivers to find an alternate route.
There were nearly 2,000 homes without power as of 5 p.m. Monday as storms moved through the area. Service was anticipated to be restored by 8 p.m., Jersey Central Power & Light's outage website estimated.
