Traffic Update At Jersey Shore: Easy Friday, Busy Weekend Ahead
Good weather may draw people to the shore for a variety of events as fall begins to kick into gear.
JERSEY SHORE, NJ — If you're looking to hold onto one more summer-like weekend, this one may be a good one. And with festivals and events it could be a busy weekend.
Just a reminder: only a handful of beaches still have lifeguards, and this is the final weekend they will be staffed. There continues to be a significant risk of rip currents, according to the National Weather Service. Authorities continue to urge people to stay out of the water where there are no lifeguards present.
Traffic was light Friday afternoon and was anticipated to stay that way through the evening commute.
