Trash, Recycling Collection Schedule Changes For Toms River Barrier Island

With summer over, it's a return to the offseason collection schedules, Toms River officials said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — For residents of the barrier island in Toms River, one of the surest signs of the end of summer is the resumption of the offseason trash and recycling schedule.

That change began this week, Toms River officials said.

Garbage collection will be every Monday. Recycling collection will be every other Monday, with the first recycling collection of the month on Sept. 12.
