Veterans To Share Experiences At Town Hall Hosted By Andy Kim

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Veterans in Ocean County have been invited to share their experiences in the military and how that inspired them to lifelong public service during a Veterans Day town hall with U.S. Rep. Andy Kim.

The event is being held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Ocean County College and will be livestreamed.

"Our appreciation to our nation’s veterans should not just be in words alone," Kim said in an announcement about the town hall event. "The simple promise that we make to all servicemembers is that if you step up to protect our families and our nation’s security, we will have your back for the rest of your life. Unfortunately, this is a promise that we as a nation have not always kept, and I am committed and working every day to fix that and give veterans what their families deserve."
