2024 Voter Registration Deadline Near: Where To Register In Ocean County

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — If you are planning to vote in the 2024 General Election on Nov. 5, you must be registered to vote.

Tuesday, Oct. 15 is the deadline to do so in New Jersey.

If you're not sure whether you're registered, or just want to be sure you are registered, you can check your voter registration here.

If you are not registered, you can do so online with your New Jersey driver's license, or your New Jersey non-driver ID card. The online registration process is explained on the state website.

You also can register in person through Tuesday. Please call the Ocean County Board of Elections at 732-929-2167 for info or assistance.

To register in New Jersey, you must be:

• A United States citizen
• At least 17 years old, though you may not vote until you have reached the age of 18
• A resident of the county for 30 days before the election
• A person not serving a sentence of incarceration as the result of a conviction of any indictable offense under the laws of this or another state or of the United States.

Forms can be taken to the Ocean County Board of Elections office at 129 Hooper Ave., Toms River. It will be open from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15, the Board of Elections said.

The municipal clerk's offices in four towns will have evening hours on Tuesday as well:

• Berkeley Township, 627 Pinewald Keswick Road, Bayville, 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m.
• Brick Township, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick, 9 a.m.-7 p.m.
• Point Pleasant Beach, 416 New Jersey Ave., 9 a.m.-8 p.m.
• Stafford Township, 260 East Bay Ave., Manahawkin, 8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.

• Early voting: Oct. 26-Nov. 3; Monday-Saturday 10 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
