Wawa Hiring 4,000 Workers; 2 Events In Toms River
The company said it is hiring 4,000 workers for its more than 840 stores in six states. One hiring event is later in March.

Wawa has announced plans to hire more than 4,000 new associates during the next three months, and has hiring events planned at stores across New Jersey in the coming weeks.
The hiring events, set for March 27 and April 10, will include a brief first interview for potential employees, a chance to "learn more about Wawa’s unique culture, explore career opportunities, and discover the important role Wawa associates play in their communities," the company said.
Among the stores hosting hiring events are Store 939, at 1166 Fischer Blvd. in Toms River, and Store 949, at 3485 Route 35 North in the Normandy Beach section. Both are hosting hiring events on both dates, according to the news release. Those interested in being hired are urged to apply online prior to attending a hiring event. The company, which has more than 840 stores across six states (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Florida) is looking to fill both customer-service and management-level positions, a news release said.

The company said that while a limited number of stores are holding the open houses, there will be positions available at stores throughout the company, which has more than 33,000 employees.
Among the benefits offered are flexible schedules and tuition reimbursement opportunities, health benefits, and the opportunity to participate in the employee stock ownership plan.
"Today Wawa is 40 percent owned by associates through the ESOP. Nearly half the ESOP is owned by store-level associates and store management," the company said.
