Today's riddle: What has 2 arms and a neck but no head? 🤔 (Answer below!)
1. Community schools tackle barriers to attendance (princetoninfo.com) — New community schools in Trenton, including Cadwalader and several elementary campuses, are working with nonprofits to tackle chronic absenteeism by offering tutoring, food assistance, and family support. The Mercer Community School Coalition is expanding this model across Trenton, Hamilton, and Ewing, using new state funding and shared data to improve attendance and reading levels for local students.
2. A Little-Known New Jersey Park Hides Five Arches Filled With Stories From The Past (myfamilytravels.com) — South Riverwalk Park on John Fitch Way offers Trenton residents a unique six-acre green space built atop the Route 29 tunnel, with sweeping Delaware River views and easy walking and biking paths. Five interpretive arches trace centuries of Trenton history, while playgrounds, pavilions, lawns, and the Circle of Peace sculpture make it a versatile spot for families, quiet reflection, and evening waterfront strolls.
3. Indoor Auto Racing Championship 2027 Dates Confirmed For Allentown, Atlantic City (speedwaydigest.com) — Trenton's CURE Insurance Arena will not host the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals in 2027 because organizers and the venue could not find compatible dates. Instead, the arena will welcome the new Trenton Ironhawks ECHL hockey team this fall, while the Indoor Auto Racing Championship focuses on January dates in Allentown and Atlantic City with tickets going on sale later this month.
4. Trenton ties run deep at Project REAP's Inaugural 'REAP on the Vineyard' celebration (trentonjournal.com) — Trenton residents and natives played a prominent role at Project REAP's inaugural "REAP on the Vineyard" celebration, where NFL executive and Trenton native Troy Vincent Sr. received the Bridge Builder Award. With the summer home of Trenton dentist Dr. Leslie Hayling as the venue, the gathering highlighted how Trenton-born leaders are shaping national conversations on Black leadership, commercial real estate access, and wealth creation.
